The DCF are pleased to share details of the ECB's new Tackling Climate Change Fund, which is now open for applications!
This new funding programme has been launched to help ECB-affiliated cricket clubs improve their sustainability, reduce operating costs and become more resilient to the impact of climate change. Grants of between £1,000 and £15,000 are available for eligible projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for clubs to invest in projects that can:
- Reduce energy and water costs
- Improve environmental sustainability
- Protect facilities from flooding and extreme weather
- Improve water security for square maintenance
- Future-proof club facilities for years to come
This fund is now open and will close on 30th November 2026, or sooner if all available funding is allocated. Clubs are therefore encouraged to start planning projects and preparing applications as early as possible.
Please note that projects must not commence before a grant offer has been issued and accepted, and applications will require supporting quotations and project information.
Click HERE to find out about ECB Guidance Notes and Applicant Toolkit, which provide further information on eligibility, project requirements and the application process. We would strongly encourage clubs to review these documents and consider whether there is a project that could benefit from this new funding opportunity.
