At Derbyshire Cricket Foundation (DCF) we believe that everyone should be able to say “cricket is a game for me”, and we are committed to ensuring that cricket is accessible, safe, and welcoming to all those participating, whether they be players, spectators, volunteers, officials, coaches or those working on behalf of the DCF.
We recognise that cost can be a barrier to accessing cricket and we are determined to remove that barrier to ensure as many people as possible can enjoy the great game.
We are proud to introduce the DCF Access to Cricket Grant. Grants will be awarded to enable people to participate in playing the game or engaging in cricket education programmes.
We appreciate that anyone can experience financial hardship at any point irrespective of social background. We therefore welcome applicants from anyone experiencing financial difficulties to the extent of which the cost of accessing cricket is a barrier.
Applicants must reside in the county of Derbyshire.
Priority will be given to anyone who is in receipt of state benefits or children and young people on free school meals.
The fund is available for anyone of any age wishing to take part in a cricket activity or programme delivered by the Derbyshire Cricket Foundation but not exclusive to; Derbyshire CCC, Derbyshire Affiliates Cricket Clubs and Leagues.
All applications will be processed in strict confidence and in line with data protection regulations.
The grants are flexible and can be used to fund many aspects that enable access to cricket. The following are a few examples but are not an exhaustive list:
* Please note, the grant will not cover cricket club membership fees or subs*
The grants will cover between 50% and 100% of costs up to the maximum of £300.
Successful applicants can apply for one grant per calendar year.
