The DCF team have worked incredibly hard throughout the year to support the cricket network in Derbyshire. We recognise that we still have lots to do in our mission to make cricket a game for everyone, and we look forward to working with all our stakeholders as we seek to further grow and diversify the game in 2026. "A Game For Everyone" is more than a strategy; it is a commitment to ensuring that cricket in Derbyshire is truly accessible, inclusive, and impactful for all.
At its heart, the strategy is driven by a clear purpose: to Empower Communities and Improve Lives through cricket.
It is underpinned by a bold vision: to provide every person in Derbyshire with the opportunity to have a positive experience through the game.
And a powerful mission: to inspire a generation to say that 'cricket is a game for me.'
Looking ahead, DCF's ambition is clear: to make cricket the most inclusive team sport by 2030. To achieve this, the strategy focuses on key objectives including growing the women's and girls' game, engaging diverse communities, supporting inclusive clubs, increasing access for young people and improving health and wellbeing through cricket.
These priorities are supported by vital enabling work, including improving facilities, strengthening the volunteer workforce, and building sustainable partnerships.
