Youth Council

Help shape the future of cricket in Derbyshire.

Your voice. Your game. Your future.

The Derbyshire Cricket Foundation (DCF) Youth Council gives young people across Derbyshire the opportunity to have their say and help shape the future of recreational cricket.

We’re looking for new members to bring fresh ideas, share their experiences and help make cricket a more inclusive and enjoyable game for everyone.

About the Youth Council

The Youth Council provides a platform for young people to share their views, influence decisions and contribute to the development of cricket across Derbyshire.

As a member, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside other young people who are passionate about the game, contribute to DCF projects and help create positive opportunities for others.

Who can get involved?

We’re looking for enthusiastic young people aged 14–17 who:

  • Are passionate about cricket and want to make a difference.
  • Have ideas about how the game can be improved.
  • Want to share their views and help shape future opportunities.
  • Are keen to develop their confidence and skills.

You don’t need to have all the answers or be an expert in cricket. We want to hear from young people with different experiences, ideas and perspectives.

Why join?

Being part of the Youth Council is a great opportunity to:

  • Have your voice heard.
  • Help shape the future of cricket.
  • Meet new people and make connections.
  • Develop confidence and new skills.
  • Get involved in projects that make a positive difference.

Interested?

If you're interested in joining the DCF Youth Council for 2026/27, we'd love to hear from you.

Applications close on 13th November.
