DCF in collaboration with leagues and Derbyshire ACO have arranged workshops!
To all Derbyshire/ Derbyshire County Cricket Leagues (DCCL)/ Derbyshire Junior Cricket Leagues (DJCL)
Many clubs will be aware of the challenges finding umpires to officiate games of cricket. As an example, on a good Saturday in the DCCL appointed umpires cover the top seven divisions and a smattering of other games. However, this leaves a further 14 divisions and some 150 teams without an umpire on a regular basis.
As no cricket match can take place without umpires, each Saturday hundred of players become "match day umpires". Likewise in Junior Cricket Leagues where most games are officiated by parents, coaches, and team managers.
To help our player/ parent/ coach/ umpires the Derbyshire Association of Cricket Officials (ACO) have developed a support workshop.
DCF in collaboration with leagues and Derbyshire ACO arrange the following workshops:
- Wednesday 18th March @Lullington Park Cricket Club - 6:00 to 8:30 pm
- Thursday 26th March @ Derbyshire CCC - 6:00 - 8:30 pm
- Tuesday 31st March @ Denby CC -6:00 - 8:30 pm
The workshops are FREE of charge and places can be booked through the link below:
