23 June 2026 Chevin Homes Continues Support for Derbyshire Disability County Teams

Derbyshire Cricket Foundation is delighted to announce the continuation of its partnership with Chevin Homes, whose ongoing support will help strengthen and develop disability cricket opportunities across the county.

Having already played a significant role in supporting cricket development throughout Derbyshire, Chevin Homes has reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive cricket by continuing its backing of the Derbyshire Disability County Teams. The partnership will support the Foundation’s D40 and Super 9s county squads, helping to provide players with the resources, opportunities and experiences needed to thrive both on and off the field.

The Derbyshire Cricket Foundation delivers a comprehensive disability cricket programme that reaches special schools, community organisations and clubs across the county. Through initiatives including Super 1’s, Disability Champion Clubs and the Derbyshire Disability County Pathway, the Foundation is committed to ensuring that cricket is accessible to everyone, regardless of ability. The county pathway provides opportunities for players with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, visual impairments and hearing loss to represent Derbyshire in competitive cricket.

Chevin Homes has a long-standing relationship with cricket in Derbyshire, supporting a range of programmes including junior pathway cricket, women’s softball festivals and disability cricket initiatives. Their continued investment demonstrates a shared commitment to creating opportunities and making the game more inclusive for people across the county.

Mark Barber, Community Manager at Derbyshire Cricket Foundation, said:

"The continued support from Chevin Homes is hugely important for our disability pathway programme. Their commitment enables us to provide quality experiences for our county teams while continuing to build on the fantastic foundations that have been established within disability cricket in Derbyshire. Together, we are creating more opportunities for players to develop, compete and represent their county with pride."

Dan Stack, Director at Chevin Homes, added:

"We are proud to continue our support of the Derbyshire Cricket Foundation and its disability teams. Cricket has the power to bring people together and create life-changing opportunities, and we are delighted to help ensure that players across Derbyshire can access and enjoy the game at all levels. We’re looking forward to seeing the teams in action over the summer’’

The partnership comes at an exciting time for disability cricket in Derbyshire, with participation continuing to grow through community programmes, schools delivery and club-based opportunities. The ongoing support from Chevin Homes will help the Foundation continue its mission of inspiring more people to say that cricket is a game for them.

Everyone at Derbyshire Cricket Foundation would like to thank Chevin Homes for their continued commitment to disability cricket and for helping create a more inclusive future for the game across Derbyshire.
