City Development Officer
My Job Role:
As a Cricket Development Officer at Derbyshire Cricket Foundation, I work to grow cricket participation across inner-city communities. My role focuses on building strong community relationships, delivering inclusive programmes and creating accessible pathways into the game.
Why did you want to work at Derbyshire Cricket Foundation?
I wanted to work at the DCF because cricket has the power to bring people together and create real opportunities. Being able to use sport to make a positive impact in communities I care about is something I'm passionate about.
How do you help the DCF to achieve it's aims and objectives?
By engaging underrepresented communities, developing volunteers and supporting sustainable pathways into cricket, I aim to ensure the game is welcoming, inclusive and accessible to all.
Any other information you would like to share?
Outside of work, I'm usually either playing, coaching or talking about cricket. I also enjoy creating community content and sharing moments from programmes to highlight the positive impact cricket has across Derby.
