DCF Trustee
Professional Background
My career has been in the retail sector, holding senior leadership roles in several companies including Sainsburys, Halfords and Curry's, largely focused on change management, developing strategies and driving operational improvements alongside profit through people, process and technology. My motivation has always been making a positive difference to colleagues, customers and organisations.
Why did you become a Trustee?
My decision to become a trustee is driven by a desire to help create opportunities for everyone and support an organisation that delivers real social value. Cricket has always been a part of my life from a young age and i am passionate about leveraging its positive influence through the Foundations missions to benefit the wider community and ensuring its stability for continual growth.
How do you believe you can support the Derbyshire Cricket Foundation to achieve its aims and objectives?
I bring a wealth of experience spanning commercial, financial and operational functions, this diverse expertise enables me to identify growth opportunities and drive improvements. I've worked with all levels within an organisation from salesfloor to PLC boards and am committed to fostering inclusivity for both customers and colleagues, a value I will bring to my role as a trustee.
Any other information you would like to share?
I grew up in Essex where my love of cricket was founded at a very young age, my favourite job remains operating the scoreboard for Essex CCC as a teenager. Having always wanted to live in Derbyshire we relocated in 2018 to Cutthorpe to live on a non-working farm where, alongside our day jobs, we also run a holiday cottage business. When I do have any spare time you will find me running, walking or at the gym.
