Jill Mathews

DCF Trustee

Professional Background

Charity Chief Executive and NHS Leader.

Why did you become a Trustee?

Running a charity and working in the NHS I see the value of volunteering and the difference trustees can make. I feel important that I can pay back a small proportion of the voluntary support I have benefited from over the years.

How do you believe you can support the Derbyshire Cricket Foundation to achieve its aims and objectives?

I believe I can be supportive and a critical friend to the foundation, testing its thinking to ensure it makes the biggest difference to the health and wellbeing of people across Derby and Derbyshire. Cricket is an accessible sport and as such can engage many different communities.

Any other information you would like to share?

I am committed to making Derby and Derbyshire great places to live and work. Working collaboratively across different charities is a great way to make the greatest difference and I am proud to be a part of this great cricketing community.
