Charlie Storr

Cricket Development Manager - Facilities, Women & Girls'

My Job Role:

I lead the strategic development of Women's & Girls' cricket across Derbyshire and manage the county's approach to facility investment. A key part of my role is supporting clubs to access funding, secure match investment, and deliver transformational facility improvements that make cricket more inclusive, especially for women and girls. I work closely with clubs, partners, and stakeholders to grow participation and help deliver facilities that meet the needs of modern cricket communities.

Why did you want to work at the Derbyshire Cricket Foundation?

The DCF's mission to empower communities and improve lives through cricket really resonates with me. I wanted to be part of an organisation where I could make a tangible difference - supporting clubs to grow, securing investment for facilities, and helping more women and girls feel that cricket is a game for them.

How do you believe you can help the DCF to achieve its aims and objectives?

By supporting clubs through the funding process, unlocking facility investment, and developing strong partnerships, I can help create the environments needed for cricket to grow sustainably. Strategically leading on Women's & Girls' cricket also allows me to shape programmes that drive participation, improve accessibility, and contribute to the DCF's long-term goals.

Any other information you would like to share?

I'm passionate about helping clubs access the support they need - whether that's funding, facility guidance, or advice on creating welcoming, inclusive spaces. If anyone need help with facility development or the women's and girls' game, I'm always happy to chat.
