DCF Trustee - Chair
Professional Background
I had a 30+ career working in Industry in Humans Resources roles.
Why did you become a Trustee?
My involvement in recreational cricket has been hugely rewarding, and I want other people to have the same opportunities. I have has a variety of roles, including being a player, parent, junior coach, junior coordinator, and committee member at a local club, and have experienced the power of cricket to create communities and improve lives. I was inspired by the values and purpose of the DCF, and the fantastic impact that they deliver. I am very motivated to support their work to widen participation in cricket, ensure it is safe. welcoming, and inclusive, and provide opportunities for everyone to benefit from their involvement in the game.
How do you believe you can support the Derbyshire Cricket Foundation to achieve its aim and objectives?
Hopefully, by combining my professional experience, my experience from recreational cricket, and the insight I have gained as a trustee, I can help the DCF make the best use of the resources available to support delivery of our strategy to enable cricket to be a game for everyone.
As chair of the Board of Trustees, I have a responsibility to ensure that we draw on the wide range of skills and experience available to the Boards, to provide effective strategic oversight and governance of the DCF.
