Cricket Development Officer
My Job Role:
I help clubs access funding, secure investment, and deliver high-quality facility improvements that make cricket more inclusive and accessible. Working alongside clubs, partners and stakeholders, I help create modern facilities that encourage participation and meet the needs of thriving cricket communities. I also work closely with volunteers, providing the support and guidance they need to make their roles as simple, enjoyable and rewarding as possible.
Why did you want to work at Derbyshire Cricket Foundation?
I have always had a passion for cricket and a real appreciation for the clubs and volunteers who are the backbone of the game. The opportunity to work with clubs, support volunteers and help grow the game at a grassroots level was one I couldn't turn down. It felt like a great opportunity to turn my passion for cricket into a role where I can make a positive difference.
How do you believe you can help the DCF achieve its aims and objectives?
I believe I can help the DCF achieve its aims by building strong relationships with clubs, volunteers and partners and providing practical support that makes a real difference. I want to help clubs grow participation, access funding and improve their facilities, while also supporting volunteers to feel valued and confident in their roles. By working collaboratively and understanding each club's needs, I hope to help create sustainable, welcoming environments where more people can enjoy and stay involved in cricket.
