Our Falcons camps concluded last month; we had a total of 610 individuals booked onto our camps across the county. This summer, we ran 22 holiday camps, including 1 advanced Falcons camp and 3 Girls Falcons camps.
Over summer we had a total of 160 bursary places utilised across the county to help break down barriers to participation. Our bursary places offered participants a full week of camp free of charge and we utilised on our girls’ falcons camps as well as some of our venues within Derby City and North Derbyshire.
97 of our bookings were HAF places which is a Department for Education (DfE) programme in England that funds free holiday clubs providing healthy meals and enriching activities for children eligible for benefits‑related free school meals. 2026 was the first year we have offered HAF places as part of our summer camp’s offer. These places align with our strategic objectives aiming to make cricket accessible for children and young people remove financial barriers wherever possible and ensure that cricket is truly a game for everyone regardless of their social background.
