ECB National Tape Ball Tournament

19 October 2026 ECB National Tape Ball Tournament

DCF's Women's and Men's tape ball teams travelled to Blackburn to take part in the ECB National Tape Ball Tournament!

The women played on 12th September, followed by the men on 13th September. With the ECB covering travel and accommodation, the players were able to enjoy a fantastic weekend both on and off the pitch.

The women’s team finished 3rd and brought home a trophy, while the men also performed strongly, competing for 3rd place but narrowly falling short. The men also had the memorable opportunity to meet former England fast bowler Devon Malcolm.

Mohsin Ali, City Development Officer and coach of both teams, said: “It was an amazing tournament. Both teams enjoyed the competition, as well as the time away from the game socialising and enjoying the experience together.”

Overall, it was a brilliant weekend of competition, teamwork and community, giving both teams the opportunity to represent Derby on a national stage.
